I OFFER A VERY EFFECTIVE 2 YEAR HAYFEVER PROGRAMME, BASED ON HOMEOPATHIC PRINCIPLES WHICH MAY BE JUST WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. BEST RESULTS COME FROM STARTING THE REGIME IN JANUARY, BUT YOU WILL STILL GET RELIEF IF YOU START NOW!!
In the meantime, why not try these tips -
1 - put a smear of vaseline under each nostril. It helps to trap pollen before it 'gets up your nose'!
2 - cover bed and desks when not in use and then fold the cover back carefully when you want to use the area. Pollen is quite heavy and will settle on surfaces quickly.
3 -try eating local honey – this has been proven to help alleviate symptoms
4 - take a GOOD probiotic supplement to help boost your immune system
5 - increase your intake of omega-3 oils, found in oily fish and lowering your intake of omega-6, found in meat and vegetable oils. This will have an anti-inflammatory effect and ease your symptoms. Take a clean, stable Omega 3 supplement to help increase your intake of Omega 3.
Have you tried sea salt baths?
Put a couple of large handfuls of Dead Sea Salt (or Epsom Salts) from the health shop in a warm bath and soak for about 15 minutes before going to bed. This will help draw out toxins from the joints, ease pain and give you a great night's sleep. Don't have the water too hot though, as it will be too stimulating. For localised joint pain, you can soak the affected joint only in the same way. Do this 2 or 3 times a week for best results
Many people have Eczema in varying degrees and while intolerance testing can often help to identify the root causes or triggers, it is necessary to help the symptoms while waiting for any lifestyle changes to have effect. Organic cider (or white wine) vinegar in a bath or soak for hands or feet can have an amazing effect, calming the skin down and taking away the itching and dryness which make life so uncomfortable. Add 2 cups of vinegar to a lukewarm bath and soak for 30 minutes. You can add 1/3 cup safflower or sunflower oil to treat really dry patches. You can also put onto smaller areas - take equal amounts of vinegar and water. Mix well and apply it directly on the eczema affected part of the skin by using a cotton ball, or simply pour this solution into an empty pray bottle to spritz onto the eczema affected part of the skin.
For sensitive skin, dilute 1/4 cup of vinegar into 3 cups of water and saturate a cotton ball in that mixture. Apply it on the affected areas of the skin (If you have sensitive skin then mix 60 percent of water to 40 percent of vinegar). Repeat the process regularly twice a day i.e. once in the morning and once in the night before going to bed to get some relief from the eczema.
This method can also be used for babies. Google Eczema + vinegar for dosages and more methods
