Advanced Nutritional Health Screening (Using Bio Electrical Impedance Measurement Testing - BIM)

What is it?

The BIM Assessment is a state-of-the-art tool designed to measure 58 different electrical "circuits" in your body related to specific organs and systems. It is based on the work of Dr Reinhold Voll MD MSC,commonly known as "the father of Electro Acupuncture" who established that electrical conductivity can be measured at specific points throughout the body (many of these points correspond the classic acupuncture points). Your measurements are then compared against a database of over 1.5 million tests to identify areas of your body that have moved away from the norm. With that powerful information, the sophisticated software will then generate a personalised supplementation programme, based on the latest natural healthcare research from around the world, designed to bring your body back to better health.


The BIM assessment is based on the six-phase table of Homotoxicology
Homotoxicology is the understanding that diseases are considered to be ultimately caused by toxins, whether toxic chemicals, bacterial exotoxins, biological endotoxins, post-traumatic cellular debris and also by-products of the bodies metabolic processes. Disease symptoms are the result of the body's attempt to heal itself. Homotoxins include, dysbiosis (unhealthy micro-organisms in the gut) often due to an unhealthy diet, HRT, antibiotics, chronic yeast infections (candida), toxic mercury amalgam fillings, gas, diesel and petrol fume intolerance, exposure to unhealthy eletro- magnetic fields, pesticides, and undiagnosed bacteria.


What happens?

As with allergy testing, you will be asked to hold a brass rod in one hand while a small brass probe is touched on to your fingers or toes. This is a totally non-invasive and painless process, and can be carried out on everyone, from small children to the more mature patient. 58 readings will taken and the results recorded on an easy to read, coloured graph. You will be given this report to take home, so you can easily track your progress from visit to visit. It is important for you to be able to see the changes that are taking place, as sometimes you don't feel any different for a while.

What do I have to do next?

You will be given details of your treatment regime and how to obtain the supplements. Normally a series of 3 sessions will be needed to obtain best results. Sometimes changes in your diet and lifestyle will also be suggested. All this information will be given to you to help your progress back to better health.
